HEY- Obama, what up?
Lots of negative everything during this campaign season - The 'vote-them-out' people were lining the Wolf Road intersection yesterday -ummm who ARE these people? (and actively supporting Carl Paladino at this point? Really?) People, please keep your narrow-minded holier-than-thou intolerance away from my government- These conservative, tea-party people (who still have their link to 'The Obama Birth Certificate Scandal' (was there a scandal?) on their home page) are just scary to me - Hating is not the way to fix this country! Why are they all middle aged and older white people? Do the tea-party-vote-them-out people all have white-man-syndrome as well? The arrogance that this country should still be divided by race, gender, religion, ethnic background/country of origin and sexual orientation? Ugh.
I am not a bleeding-heart liberal and I don't know what the answers are. I do know I have biases sometimes, but I try to confront my feelings about them and I do know that hating somebody else really doesn't make life better - There is not a conspiracy by Blacks Hispanics Jewish lesbians...If you're feeling like you are missing something or missing out on something, I don't think that's probably why.
Anyway, back to Obama - According to Polifact website - He's kept (122) or is in the process of working on (236) of his campaign promises. Only 22 broken promises so far - that seems like a reasonable record to this point - yet the prevailing feeling is that government is ineffective and ineffectual. Hopefully the results of this election will not set the country back 50 years as far as civil rights....
But: Obama - WHAT UP with the healthcare bill fiasco? FIX IT!
